Grammar Tip: Some useful exercises.. (part 2/3)
In our classes, we often hear students say, “This part makes sense, but that one is still tricky!” It’s always such a joy to watch everyone play with the language—trying out new sentences, asking questions, and even laughing at little mistakes along the way. Every moment like this shows how they’re discovering German for themselves, piece by piece.
In this second part of our series on creative grammar practice, we focus on some essential topics for A1.2 learners: modal verbs, Konjunktiv II, imperative form and the typical vocabulary needed at this level. These areas are often challenging not because the rules are complicated, but because they require regular use and playful repetition.
Our teacher Dani has been exploring ways to make these topics more interactive. She’s researched games and exercises that turn grammar practice into something lively and engaging.
Click on the links below to see for yourselves: Dani researched word wall games to reinforce essential words through repetition, movement, and context, so students can use them confidently in sentences.
The goal is easy: to make grammar active, not just theoretical. By turning rules into games and conversations, learners get more practice naturally, remember patterns longer, and gain confidence in using German.
A huge thank you again to Dani for her creative approach and dedication. We hope these ideas inspire you to practice your German in a way that’s both effective and joyful. Stay tuned for the third part of our series, where we’ll explore more playful ways to tackle challenging grammar structures!
