Magazines – another fun way to practice German 

Learning German can be hard work sometimes, so here is yet another was of making it lighter and more fun.

Reading magazines is a great way to get some additional German language practise in and expand your vocabulary, while also learning about current topics.

Below we’ve listed a few of our favourite magazines for learning German:

Deutsch Perfekt is a magazine especially designed for learners. Each themed edition offers articles for different levels of learning. Additionally you can find audio material and matching exercises , much of it for free!

More advanced leaners might appreciate these magazines:

Fluter ,published by the bpb (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung/Federal Agency for Civic Education), is a magazine targeting younger readers and hinges on present politicial and social questions. The best part: the subscription is for free! You might have picked up a copy at Transmitter already!

Zeit may also be worth looking into for those with varying reading interests. Zeit offers different magazines to different topics such as art, history, science or crime. There is a subscription fee for depending on the chosen edition.
