It’s always fun to improve your German with series or videos instead of revising grammar and vocabulary from books only. The web series provide content and vocabulary for the lower levels especially. All series are all about everyday life situations and how to master them while speaking in a foreign language.

Besides the telenovela Nicos Weg, you can find another telenovela called Jojo sucht das Glück on the webpage of DW. It’s a classic telenovela telling the story of Jojo who just moved to Cologne and her life in Germany. DW also offers exercises in addition to every episode.
24h Deutsch is a series of short Video Clips showing different situations for each hour of the day. From grammar and learning strategies to insights to the „German way of life“. The videos are presented by Goethe -Institut. You can find all clips on their webpage or on YouTube.
Another short series especially for learners by Goethe Institute is called Mein Weg nach Deutschland. Taking the young, turkish woman Nevin as an example, each episode presents an everyday life situation you might come across- using public transport, going to the doctor or searching for a flat. Goethe Institut also offers exercises for each clip which can help you to revise new vocabulary you came across while watching.
