Gallery visit: Künstlerhaus Bethanien & Südblock
Last Friday, a group of Transmitter students kicked off their weekend and visited Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Kreuzberg, where they found not only a welcoming rescue from the heat, but also a diverse display of international art. Within the historic but refreshing building “Lichtfabrik”, right on the vibrant Kottbusser Straße, Mechi and the group took their time to explore the current exhibitions.
The gallery offered multiple rooms, where every space showed art from a different artist from all over the world – so there was something for everyone to explore and discuss.
The conversation continued in the nearby beer garden Südblock, right next to Kottbusser Tor – where they found a lovely spot with cold drinks and snacks. The place is known for being a safe space, a popular hangout for queers and allies. ![]()
Shout out to our wonderful students who come to our gallery visits and events, making Transmitter more than a place for learning German. We are already scouting places and events for next time, so stay tuned!
