Impressions from the special workshop on „memory culture“
At Transmitter, we deal with the German language and culture in a variety of ways – including special topics and interests.
We are currently running a special workshop on the topic of memory culture. The free workshop is led by Laura, who wants to work with interested people to find out more about how German courses can contribute to social issues being addressed and discussed.
So far, central topics of the German memory discourse (colonialism, the Holocaust, guest and contract workers in divided Germany) have been examined from different perspectives. The next sessions will focus on the fall of the Berlin Wall from a migrant perspective.
