Laura’s workshop about memory culture
Part 1 of Laura’s special workshop in summer 2024 was fabulous! Topic-based exchange, selected texts and film excerpts, intensive discussions – it was very communicative and lively.
And that’s why we’re going back for a second round. This time, we are once again focussing on the interesting topic of remembrance culture in Germany and the associated current discourse. The focus is on conversations about passages from novels, essays, lyrical texts and films that Laura has collected especially for this course. No prior knowledge is required, just your perspectives and opinions.
Have you already completed the B2 level or are you currently taking a B2 course? Are you also happy to contribute to academic purposes? Perfect prerequisite! You are warmly invited to take part in this special conversation course free of charge.
Course dates: 20.6. – 25.7.2025, always Fridays, 12:00 – 13:30
Laura is working on her dissertation and would like to use this workshop to find out how German courses can contribute to addressing social issues and how you as students perceive these discussions. She would therefore like to record the sessions (audio, photos) and analyse them anonymously.
