RECAP: Transmitter at Neue Nationalgalerie
A Night at the Neue Nationalgalerie – Art, Architecture & Great Company ✨
Last week, our wonderful teacher Mechi took a group of our students on a memorable cultural outing to one of Berlin’s most iconic museums: the Neue Nationalgalerie.
The evening was a true feast for the senses. While the exhibitions themselves were breathtaking, many of our students were equally captivated by the building. Designed by the legendary architect Mies van der Rohe, the Neue Nationalgalerie is considered a masterpiece of modern architecture — and experiencing it in person alongside the art made the visit even more special.
The museum currently features two incredible exhibitions:
-
👉🏼 “Max Ernst to Dorothea Tanning. Networks of Surrealism”– an exploration of Surrealist art and the fascinating connections between artists.
-
👉🏼 “Gerhard Richter – 100 Works for Berlin” – showcasing works by one of Germany’s most influential contemporary artists, offering a unique chance to engage with his powerful and diverse artistic practice.
Our students had a wonderful time exploring the galleries, discussing the artworks, and sharing impressions along the way. After the museum visit, the group continued the evening with drinks at a nearby café, enjoying relaxed conversations, laughter, and a chance to practice German in a real-life setting. 🍷
Moments like these highlight the heart of our community — coming together to learn, share, and experience culture in a friendly and inspiring environment. We feel so grateful to spend these evenings with such engaged, curious, and warm-hearted people.
A big thank you to everyone who joined — and if you couldn’t make it this time, we hope to see you at our next cultural outing. There’s nothing like discovering Berlin’s art and architecture together! 💛
