Thank you to Laura and her fabulous workshop participants
The second part of the special workshop on ‘Memory Culture in Germany’ has just come to an end and we would like to say thanks to our participating students, and also to our great teacher Laura for holding this special class.
From 20 June to 25 July 2025, the B2 communication course took place at Transmitter and invited interested students to join Laura in exploring how German courses can contribute to addressing and discussing social issues. Using poetry, essays, photographs, songs and reports from contemporary witnesses, historical events in German history were examined from different perspectives. And there were many exciting approaches and insights!
The results of the workshop are particularly interesting for Laura, as they will become part of her dissertation project. We are delighted to be able to contribute to the academic discourse in this way and, above all, to support Laura in her exciting work.
Many thanks to our motivated German learners, who enthusiastically contributed their thoughts to the discussions. It was particularly interesting for Laura to observe the experiences and perspectives brought in by the participants, who come from very different countries and cultures. This made the sessions exciting and insightful with each new topic.
Laura is already looking forward to the third part of the workshop series and fascinating new excursions. Stay tuned!
