We're happy to announce that we have just expanded our course program. Starting this month, we will be offering new online courses which will stay online. We'll start with individual online lessons and have just added a regular A2.1 evening course to our program.
So no matter where you live, you can still study with us!
All of our teachers have received a special training to translate their lessons to an online format. Of course, we will stick to our communicative and interactive approach: From games and role plays, worksheets, music and videos. The internet offers more than just the textbook and we're happy to accompany you on our learning journey.
How does it work? Well, all of our students and teachers have the Zoom client downloaded. This allows us to host video conferences. Within this conference, the teacher is able to talk clearly, ask students questions, show things from the book, as well as show things on the virtual whiteboard. This is all fairly standard practice, but the great thing about Zoom is that we don’t need to miss out on in-class partner activities - the teacher simply creates ‘breakout rooms’ (essentially a chatroom within a chatroom), in which partners or groups can work on activities in private. The teacher is also able to move from breakout room to breakout room, allowing them to listen to the activity, answer questions, make comments on sentence structure - just like in a regular class setting! Once they’ve finished their partner activity, they return to the main room to discuss everything together. So far we’ve had a great response to these classes and are looking forward to seeing you in the virtual world :)
