On Friday 26th of July 2019, we hosted our first event in our Kreuzberg space: a combination event of an open house and a pop-up group show titled “Japanese Illustration in Berlin”. The exhibition featured beautiful work from our very own Transmitter student, Saki Nagatani, as well as Adim and Yuki Ando.
We had a great time hosting our students and friends, and met some new friends throughout the evening! Thanks so much to everyone who joined us, and especially to the artists who exhibited their work.

Seven years ago Transmitter was just an off-space project which started in a living room in Neukölln. Over the years, the school has blossomed and evolved, with all of your support. For that, we’d like to thank you dearly!
Today, after six years in our current space in Allerstraße, we are happy to announce the next important step of our journey: from July 15th, Transmitter will be moving to a new space in Kreuzberg.

„RECEIVER“, our group exhibition with ten international artists based in Berlin took place on the weekend of the 19th and 20th October 2018. The exhibition reflected on language, signs and symbols and their legibility. All artists offered their their own interpretations of the process of decoding language in its different contexts and environments.

In this exhibtion, our students and friends will show photos of projects they’ve been working on recently. The show features images of a variety of different works ranging from performances to design and typography to video editing. Our works are as diverse as our students and we’re superexcited to share a more personal side of us with you.

What comes after the tide?
